Help Hello Narra grow
We want blind and low-vision people to read the documents they face every day on their own, in the way that suits them. The project started with a grant from ElevenLabs; for the next steps we need sponsors and partners.
What your support turns into
Testing with real users
Regular usability sessions with blind and low-vision participants using NVDA, JAWS and VoiceOver. It's the only way to see what automated tests miss.
Scanned documents and photos
Today only documents that contain text can be read. Text recognition (OCR) and vision models to read a photographed letter or a scanned bill.
Staying free for everyone
Every conversation has voice and AI costs. Covering them lets us keep the service free for users.
More languages
After Turkish and English, expanding to the languages blind and low-vision users need most.
So far
- Live, currently in closed beta with invited users.
- A personal voice assistant for every user that gets to know them.
- Interface and assistant in Turkish and English.
- Five high-contrast themes, four text sizes, captions synced to the voice.
- Zero violations in automated accessibility tests (WCAG 2.2 AA and AAA).
Why this project?
A measurable need
At least 2.2 billion people worldwide have a vision impairment; about 1 million people in Türkiye have difficulty seeing even with glasses.
Built on standards
Every design decision rests on WCAG and published research; the decisions and sources are public.
Transparent
We say clearly what we have tested and what we haven't yet.
